The Castle was built on project of the architect Gian Giacomo of the Acaya in 1542, under the control of the engineer capuano Ambrogio Attendolo. It occupies a surface of mq.7500 inclusive even a central courtyard. The four bastions introduce the walls scarps, to the center of the principal curtain and' site the entry which is accessed mean of a bridge on arcs and pillars.
