The church was' erect in the slow two hundred (1284 - 1296).
In the XV century was' endowed with the bell tower with Renaissance plinth
and of the elements façade headstone with you protected and graven
frames in the Street Alessio Mazzocchi. In the XVII century was transformed
and in 1747 the plasters, the altars and the carved organs were realized.
Among the church and the neighboring seventeenth-century building and' placed
the famous D'Arco Mazzocchi that he/she takes the name from the archaeologist
Alessio Simmaco Mazzocchi (1684 - 1781).
